What is eFFectant?  How does it work?

eFFectant is a disinfectant cleaner with an active ingredient of Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) produced through electrolysis.  HOCl is the infection fighting compound found naturally in human white blood cells.

Hypochlorous acid is 80 to 100 times more effective than chlorine bleach at killing pathogens such as viruses and bacteria.

HOCl kills through oxidation resulting in a deactivation of the pathogen with no development of super bugs.

Is eFFectant EPA Registered?  Does it kill human coronaviruses?

Yes, eFFectant  is EPA registered  as a hospital grade Disinfectant. In recent lab studies, it has demonstrated effectiveness against human coronavirus and tougher to kill viruses such as norovirus on hard, nonporous surfaces.

As a disinfectant, what is the advantage of hypochlorous acid over traditional cleaners?*

Most of the pathogens, particularly water born, when used over time, develop resistance to disinfectants such as sodium hypochlorite (bleach). In comparison, anolyte application, as a water disinfectant, used on a daily basis over the course of ten years demonstrated that no resistance was developed over time to pathogenic microorganisms. HOCl is also free from harmful fumes and has a neutral pH.
